Public meeting with the Head of Volgodonsk Administration Viktor Melnikov

On November 6, 2019, a meeting of the Head of the Volgodonsk Administration Viktor Melnikov with the public of the city was held in the central library of Volgodonsk. Viktor Melnikov spoke about the results achieved and the problems that exist in the city.

The chairman of the Volgodonsk Public Chamber, Viktor Stadnikov, noted in his short speech the importance of the work carried out by the current Administration. But he focused on unresolved issues.

The issue of launching passenger trains through the city of Volgodonsk to Moscow, Adler, and the Minvody has not been resolved. In 2014, the Public Chamber collected more than 17 thousand signatures of city residents for the resumption of passenger traffic in Volgodonsk. The appeal to the State Duma deputy Viktor Deryabkin did not help either.

«Активное поколение» из Волгодонска побывало на Семикаракорском фаянсовом заводе

50 участников проекта «Активное поколение», который реализует волгодонское РОО «Волга-Дон», побывали с экскурсией в Семикаракорском заводе керамики, в музее керамики, а также приняли участие в мастер-классе по росписи керамических чашек.

И взрослые, и совсем юные участники проекта увидели, как создаются известные не только в России расписные глиняные изделие, тарелки, чашки, сувениры. Гостям музея керамики был показан весь процесс – от заливки глины в формы до обжига готовых изделий в печах. Оказалось, всю эту красоту создают своими умелыми руками женщины, вкладывая в каждое изделие часть своей души.

Excursion to the Semikarakorsky Museum of Ceramics

On October 30, 50 participants of the Active Generation project of the Volga-Don NGO visited the Semikarakorsky Ceramics Factory and the Museum of Ceramics, took part in a workshop on painting ceramic cups in the museum.

Adult project participants and representatives of the younger generation saw how painted clay products, plates, cups, and souvenirs, known not only in Russia, were created. Guests of the ceramics museum were shown the whole process from pouring clay into molds to burning finished products in furnaces. And the whole Semikarakorsk beauty is created by women with their skillful hands, putting a part of their soul into each product.

Needlework for all ages

The needlewomen of the Volga-Don NGO on October 29 held a needlework workshop in the city library No. 6 for girls from the Constellation kids club.

Together with the adult needlewomen, the beginning craftswomen made souvenir hats of the needle bed, tricolor brooches for the Day of National Unity. The joint creativity of children and adults helps children master the sewing technique, and adults, to transfer their experience and knowledge to young students.

“32 people were dumped on a bus in a heap”

In Moscow, on the square in front of the theater center on Dubrovka, they remembered the victims of the tragedy that happened 16 years ago. About 200 people came to the action.

On October 26, 2002, authorities interrupted negotiations and went on the assault on the building seized by terrorists during the presentation of the musical Nord-Ost. As a result of the special operation, 130 people were killed. According to the public organization “Nord-Ost” – 174 people. More than 700 were injured. The cause of the death of many hostages was the gas put into the room, the composition of which is still classified. The doctors who saved the lives of the victims did not have information about the necessary antidote.

In 2011, the European Court of Human Rights examined the collective complaint of victims of the terrorist attack and admitted that the Russian authorities violated the right to life and to a fair trial.

The court ordered Russia to pay monetary compensation to the families of the victims of the attack and to investigate the circumstances of the deaths of 130 people. However, the Investigative Committee of Russia refused to initiate criminal proceedings against persons responsible for the deaths during the assault.

Subbotnik in the Ecological square of Volgodonsk Public Chamber

October 19, 2019 throughout the region passed a single day of afforestation, to which Volgodonsk joined.

In the Ecological square of the Volgodonsk Public Chamber, an autumn clean-up was also held. Activists of the Chamber together with students of VITI NIIUU MEPhI (Volgodonsk Engineering Institute. Branch of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI), Samarskiy college, medical college, pedagogical college planted young seedlings of poplar, boxwood, maples, dug trees that have already taken root, removed garbage from the territory of the park and around.
