The day of solidarity in the fight against terrorism is celebrated annually in Russia on September 3

The memorial day was established by the Federal law ” on amendments to the Federal law “on days of military glory (victory days) Russia” from July 21, 2005. This day is dedicated to the tragic events that took place on September 1-3, 2004 in the city of Beslan, when more than 300 people, mostly women and children, were killed in an unprecedented terrorist act.

The day of solidarity in the fight against terrorism symbolizes the unity of the state and society in the fight against such a terrible phenomenon as terrorism. On this day, Russia pays tribute to the memory of thousands of compatriots who died at the hands of terrorists in Beslan, in the theater center on Dubrovka, in Budennovsk, Pervomaisky, in the explosions of residential buildings in Moscow, Buinaksk and Volgodonsk, and in hundreds of other terrorist acts. Public meeting with the Head of Volgodonsk Administration Viktor Melnikov

On November 6, 2019, a meeting of the Head of the Volgodonsk Administration Viktor Melnikov with the public of the city was held in the central library of Volgodonsk. Viktor Melnikov spoke about the results achieved and the problems that exist in the city.

The chairman of the Volgodonsk Public Chamber, Viktor Stadnikov, noted in his short speech the importance of the work carried out by the current Administration. But he focused on unresolved issues.

The issue of launching passenger trains through the city of Volgodonsk to Moscow, Adler, and the Minvody has not been resolved. In 2014, the Public Chamber collected more than 17 thousand signatures of city residents for the resumption of passenger traffic in Volgodonsk. The appeal to the State Duma deputy Viktor Deryabkin did not help either.

Regional Social Forum “Socially-oriented non-profit organizations – a modern provider of social services”

November 8 at the Don State Public Library held a social forum “Socially oriented non-profit organizations — a modern provider of social services to the population“, which was attended by representatives of the NGOs of the Rostov region, including the NGO “Volga-Don”, the Public Chamber of Volgodonsk and Rostov region, the Government of the media.

The main objective of the Forum — to give access of socially-oriented non-profit organization to provide onerous social services and the corresponding budget funding.
